Secondary Heroine Syndrome

Sometimes you're the princess awaiting your prince or shining knight, other times you're the original love interest who the prince or shining knight looks past on their way to the new love interest who's way less interesting and has known the hero for like, five, ten minutes, tops. Congratulations! You are a secondary heroine! You won't end up with the hero, your contributions go ignored and overall everyone seems to forget about you. Except, it seems, for some unsavory kidnapper types...

So we have Ilia, (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess), Keira, (Jak and Daxter) and Pascal, (Tales of Graces). Let's hope someone, somewhere hasn't completely forgotten about them all...
